Biography
Elizabeth grew up in Walton Hills, Ohio. Her mother was a career surgical nurse, and her father was a horse trainer. Their careers formed distinct parts of her family background, encompassing both the demanding environment of surgical care and the practical work of training and caring for horses.
Elizabeth earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and business administration from John Carroll University. Her education provided a foundation in business operations, communication, and analysis that she would build upon throughout her professional career.
Before entering the legal field, Elizabeth spent twelve years with Penske Logistics. Her work involved supporting complex transportation operations, coordinating information across multiple accounts, and helping colleagues and clients address operational challenges. In a field where individual decisions can affect an entire network of activity, she developed experience managing detailed information while keeping broader business objectives in view.
Her responsibilities included analysis and reporting across a substantial portfolio of freight business. She worked with information from multiple sources, evaluated operational performance, and prepared reports to support business decisions. This work required accuracy, consistency, and the ability to communicate findings to people with different needs and responsibilities.
Process improvement and automation were also important parts of Elizabeth’s work. She developed ways to reduce repetitive manual tasks and improve recurring reporting, combining analytical skills with an understanding of how information is used in day-to-day operations. Her approach emphasized making processes more efficient and information more accessible and useful.
Elizabeth brings this business experience to her work in legal support. Coordinating competing priorities, organizing complex material, and communicating clearly are skills she continues to develop in her role with the firm. Her transition into law allows her to build on an established professional foundation while pursuing work closely connected to her environmental interests.
Conservation, sustainability, and regenerative agriculture are central to Elizabeth’s long-term career goals. She is interested in the relationships among agricultural practices, healthy land, clean water, and the communities that depend on those resources. She hopes to explore how law and policy can support responsible land use and agricultural practices that restore and sustain natural systems.
The firm’s environmental and natural resources practice provides a meaningful setting for that transition. Its work addressing contamination and the effects of environmental harm on communities and property owners connects with Elizabeth’s motivation to help protect resources that have lasting importance beyond any single generation.
Elizabeth intends to begin law school in fall of 2027. Through her education and continued work in the legal field, she plans to build the knowledge and experience necessary to contribute to environmental advocacy. Her long-term ambition is to help protect land and water, support sustainable and regenerative practices, and preserve the resources future generations will inherit.
