BIOGRAPHY
Rebekah Hamilton is a Research Fellow at Environmental Energy and Natural Resources Advocates. She grew up in rural Southern Illinois where among other things she played tag in cornfields and learned to drive on a tractor at her grandparents ostrich farm. She moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, as a teenager, graduating from Oklahoma Wesleyan University with a Bachelor’s in Organizational Management and Ethics in 2015 and from Asbury Theological Seminary with a Masters in Intercultural Studies in 2018. She is currently completing her Ph.D. and Contextual Theology from Oral Roberts University, where her research is in the areas of public theology, national identity, and religious narratives with a focus on Latin America.
Rebekah has held nonprofit, ministry, and education roles in North, South, and Central America and is Managing Editor and contributing author for E21 Global Network of Spirit Empowered Scholars titles. Her other publications can be found in Lausanne Global Analysis, Sojourners, Salubritas, Fuller Youth Institute, Cokesbury, Seedbed, Pneuma, and the Connecting Faith and the Justice Lectionary series of the United Methodist Church. She plans to attend law school at the University of Tulsa while continuing as a Research Fellow at EENR. Upon her graduation, she will work in the areas of environmental justice and justice for children.
Rebekah enjoys a good story, spending time with friends, and playing with her son.
